YES - The €€€'s saga continues and we're back at it with Live Q or Die to bring you another epic piece in this TDQ x MTHD collaboration collection. The Sundowner Sun Shirt is a hooded top featuring the infamous print designed from a hundred pictures of rocks, soil, lichen, bush, shrubs, dirt, and other natural South African hunting habitat photos. We were able to sublimate Polartec® Delta™ with this repeated image to create the ultimate photorealistic camouflage pattern.
Q: Why this material? A: Polartec® created this cooling fabric technology to better utilize the body’s natural cooling process – sweat! Next-to-skin fabrics that target wicking and fast drying will keep moisture moving but don’t work towards actually COOLING the body down. Delta™ works more efficiently by elevating touch points for increased airflow, faster moisture dispersal, and reduced “wet-cling”.
Q: What specifically is it about this technology that’s so special? A: Polartec® Delta™ features an innovative composition that regulates dry times and allows for better breathability when wet. Delta’s specialized knit construction uses both hydrophobic [water-hating] and hydrophilic [water-loving] yarns for more advanced control of moisture dispersal. These patent-pending radiating knit structures keep you cooler in hot conditions by increasing airflow to dissipate heat.
Designed as a “go anywhere/ do anything” active top for a myriad of activities from hunting to hanging out in a hammock. This lightweight waffle jersey knit is UPF +25, has built-in odor control, and is made from Tencel, a sustainable natural fiber. A fabric with a UPF rating of +25 will only allow 1/25th of the sun's UV rays to pass through, meaning a significant reduction in UV radiation exposure. Paired with modern construction and trim details, our hoody is both stylish and functional in any relaxed setting.
TENCEL™ branded lyocell and modal fibers are 100% bio-degradable and produced from sustainably sourced wood by environmentally responsible processes. Known for their natural comfort, TENCEL™ fibers are versatile and can be combined with a wide range of textile fibers to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of fabrics. Textiles containing these fibers are desirable for their softness, strength, and moisture absorption efficiency.

Colorways:
1. ESPIONAGE – Black FLIPS to Gold
2. HYENA - Canteen FLIPS to Hundreds Camo
Back by popular demand, the MTHD Reversible Hoody is featured as the pinnacle outerwear piece in the latest TD x Q collaboration collection. Both inside and outside features a super lightweight and durable stretch woven nylon ripstop fabric + DWR (Durable Water Repellent). In between is CLO Vivo Extreme Eco 60g recycled polyester insulation made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic water bottles. The underarm gusset material is a Merino wool/ polyester blend grid-knit fleece for enhanced thermoregulation and mobility.
Ideal for activewear, CLO Vivo insulation features a patented perforated technology allowing moisture build up to escape. Compatible to the shell fabric around it, the 4-way stretch allows maximum flexibility and comfort for the wearer in motion.
The "exterior" side has zip entry hand-warmer pockets lined with peached tricot fabric. The "interior" (reversed) side features a different color, chevron quilting, a chest pocket, and kangaroo-style handwarmer pkts for a different appearance. MTHD Altitude Merino Pull-On Pant - L2
Say bye-bye to sweats - here comes the Altitude Pant! The perfect relaxed silhouette for lazy lounge days at home lounging or being active outdoors. Wear it alone for mild days, or in combination with a base layer bottom [L1] for cold weather. For freezing temperatures and wet conditions, wear it as the insulating layer [L2] for an accompanying outer shell garment [L5].
We took luxurious Merino wool, combined it with a durable polyester yarn and created a hybrid grid fleece base layer with that can be worn next to skin or as a second layer. Wool is naturally water repellent, odor resistant and stretchy. It’s also high wicking and feels “breathable”, all while keeping you insulated, even when wet. Merino sheep are bred to survive scorching summers and freezing winters. Their fleece has evolved to stay cool in temperatures as high as 86°F, or stay warm in temperatures as low as 14°F. Depending on your own body temperature and the humidity of your skin, Merino fibers in clothing respond and adapt to the conditions by either trapping or releasing heat just like they do on the sheep.
Functional fleece fabric engineering begins with an internal grid knit construction which increases warmth and breathability efficiency, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, wicking, and add technical style. The exterior surface design has a smooth face, with excellent pill resistance. The overall aesthetic creates a minimalist design that maximizes fabric performance.

Level 2 is an important layer for thermal regulation. It helps transport moisture away from the body to the exterior of the garment while keeping you warm when you are static. Starting with fit, the athletic silhouette will accommodate another base layer top underneath. The fixed hood design is versatile enough to fit under a helmet or over a ball cap. A long front zipper makes for a quick vent when working up a sweat. A kangaroo pocket adds functional style points, while a hidden interior EDC pkt will hold your key fob & cards in place. Thumb slots help secure the sleeves and warm up hands during chilly days. Gusseted underarm panels help reduce bulk. Wear this top alone on mild days, or in combination with Merino base layer [L1] for cooler weather. Make it part of your cold-weather layering kit by adding an insulating mid-layer jacket [L3] or an outershell jacket [L5].

MTHD L5: Waterproof Protection
The MTHD Port NeoShell® 3L Parka is a forward silhouette in a performance fabrication that balances lightweight, breathable, durable, and waterproof with mechanical stretch. This multi-season technical outer layer will be your go-to for all your cityscape pursuits. No matter what cold weather elements Mother Nature throws at you, this stylish jacket has you covered.
The 3-layer textile construction means a waterproof membrane is laminated to an outer face fabric as the exterior and a lightweight “lining” material as the interior. Each layer has its own function. When combined as one, these materials work together as a precise operating unit for the best performance. “Shell” outerwear garments (meaning un-lined and non-insulated) are the last layer [L5] to complete your outdoor apparel kit. Polartec® NeoShell® is the first fabric to combine the superior breathability, ventilation, and stretch of a softshell fabrication with the waterproof performance of a technical hard shell, delivering the best of both worlds.
Polartec® NeoShell® is the world’s first and most breathable waterproof stretch fabric technology. For years, technical outerwear brands had prioritized excessively high waterproof ratings that sacrifice the breathable performance needed during physical activity. NeoShell® however revolutionized the industry by providing the strength and durability of a weather-protective fabric, while still allowing dynamic air exchange and comfortable full-range motion.
How is this accomplished? Polartec® NeoShell® allows more dynamic breathability through its sub-micron membrane structure at the core of the fabric. By engineering optimal pore size and placement, NeoShell® releases heat and perspiration without high pressure build up. Continuous air exchange enhances natural thermoregulation, while still providing the needed protection from all outside elements. Operatives will be drier inside in a wider range of weather conditions and exertion levels than ever before.
Fabric Care:
Technical outerwear benefits from regular washing to perform optimally. Carefully review and follow the garment’s care label instructions. Before washing, secure all zippers and closures. Machine wash warm (86°F / 30°C) with a high-performance cleaner like Grangers Performance Wash or Nikwax® Tech Wash. If you elect to use a conventional liquid laundry detergent, a second rinse will help to remove all traces of detergent from the fabric. Never dry-clean your garment or use fabric softeners, bleach, or stain removal products. Tumble dry, using a low heat setting, to rejuvenate your garment’s durable water-repellent finish (DWR).
DWR serves as an invisible first line of defense in wet conditions, and, when working properly, causes moisture to bead up on the fabric surface and roll off. A DWR finish will degrade over time and will occasionally need to be replenished. A simple way to test your garment’s DWR finish is to lightly spray or splash it with water and see if the water is beading up or being absorbed by the fabric. If the fabric ‘wets out,’ it’s time to revive the DWR finish. When it’s time to retreat the DWR finish, we recommend a DWR replenishing product like Grangers Performance Repel Plus, Nikwax® TX.Direct® Wash-In or TX.Direct® Spray-On.
